It all started when our 10-year-old son was given a school assignment to complete a family tree. My husband and I came to the sad realization that we didn’t know much about our families past our grandmothers. We called some relatives, and we found ourselves not making any headway. The elder generation had passed away before they could hand down

I remember wishing that before my parents died, they would have left me more than a stack of old photos of the family I never even knew; I remember wishing that I had learned the stories behind the faces in the weathered photographs. 

Not only that, but when my Mom departed, she really didn’t settle her affairs or let anyone else know what she wanted. My brothers and I were left to guess, and we were left with a lot of unsettled matters and unfinished business dealing with property, utilities, heirlooms, burial arrangements, clothing, personal items, etc. 

We know the stress that comes from losing a loved one, and the necessary things that come with it, such as settling their estate, getting rid of their stuff, and making sure their final wishes are honored.

Peace Out Friends came about to help all of us do just that! We researched tons of valuable time-saving tips.
